Hi, I'm Lucas

I'm the filmmaker behind Dixon Visuals. After years working in narrative filmmaking, I found my calling in weddings, and now I film modern, luxury weddings across Essex, the UK and worldwide.

Everything in this course comes from real weddings: the kit I actually use, the settings I trust, and the mistakes I've made so you don't have to. A lot of the time I'm shooting solo, so the course shows you how to cover a whole day on your own.

Do I need any experience?

No. The course starts from the basics and builds up to intermediate, so it works whether you've just picked up a camera or you're already filming weddings.

What camera do I need?

Any device that can shoot video, and that can even be your phone. I film on LUMIX, and the settings lessons also cover Sony and Canon. But this course is about far more than camera settings. Telling a story through film comes down to how you plan, frame, capture and edit a day, not the camera body you own.

Can I read the lessons instead of watching?

Yes. Every lesson has a written version underneath the video.

How long do I have access?

For life, including every update I add to the course.

Can I watch on my phone?

Yes. Watch on your phone, tablet or computer, whenever suits you.
